October 28–31, 2007
Tempe, AZ

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Presented by CUNA in partnership with NASCUS.

Enjoy a full day of direct interaction with representatives from federal agencies involved in BSA compliance, along with additional hands-on training from credit union operations instructors to provide insight on how to implement the new compliance requirements.

Join your peers at this year's training to hone your understanding of the real life ways criminals use financial institutions to launder money through payroll services, mortgage and consumer loans, wires, and stored value cards.
Through this conference you will:

  • Review your credit union's obligations after a merger for ensuring compliance
  • Discuss with industry experts the intricacies of BSA/AML compliance when dealing with other financial institutions
  • Learn the latest compliance issues through informative discussions, up-to-date reviews of big picture compliance trends, overviews of common mistakes to avoid, open forums, and networking opportunities

In addition to these excellent sessions, attendees will hear from one of Arizona's top law enforcement officials about the front lines of the fight against money laundering, will walk through an evaluation of a real credit union's compliance program with a leading expert on audits, and identify compliance shortcomings with credit union contracts with their third party service providers.

CUNA Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist Certification
Participants can take advantage of the CUNA BSA Compliance Specialist Certification option. A BSA 101 session will be held on Sunday that is recommended for those wanting to test for their certification. Tuesday afternoon there will be a review with the optional testing being held Wednesday at the close of the conference. Certification is optional and available to all attendees.
